Four screens, reserved for Administrators, report on the state of the Portail ZAPP instance: Instance status, Support diagnostics and Changelog (menu Administration āŗ Instance and operations), and Active sessions (menu Administration āŗ Users & access).
Instance status
The screen shows the Current state:
- the Version (with the Product and its platform version when a product is installed), the Deployment mode and the Uptime;
- the Database: Healthy, Unhealthy or Unknown;
- the Data path and the free Disk space;
- the Enabled modules and Disabled modules.
- the Reported issues of the modules, when there are some: for example "ScriptRunner: putting script names in order failed at startupā¦". The module retries by itself, every minute; the issue disappears as soon as the attempt succeeds. The technical detail is in the server log.
A banner signals when a configuration change requires a restart.
Restart application (after confirmation) stops the application, which shows Restarting⦠and then comes back on its own. It only restarts if its process is supervised (container with automatic restart, system service); otherwise it stops and must be started again by whoever hosts it. During the restart, the application is unavailable to everyone.
Support diagnostics
The Support diagnostics screen gathers the information to give to support to identify the instance; it contains no secret. Copy puts it on the clipboard. It includes:
- Application: version, deployment mode, environment, runtime, operating system, start date (UTC);
- Database: PostgreSQL version, size of the database and of the largest tables, connections, latency; or Database unreachable.;
- Scheduler: enabled and running jobs, last run, failures in the last 24 h (each failed job opens its page), active blackout window;
- Modules: for each module, Up to date or Pending migrations, and the list of disabled modules.
Changelog
The Changelog lists the changes of the last ten versions, with their date, sorted into Added, Changed, Deprecated, Fixed, Removed and Security. Changes not yet released appear under Unreleased. Entries are shown as they were written, without translation.
Active sessions
The Active sessions screen lists the signed-in accounts, with their number: User (name and address), Login time, Last activity and Duration. The refresh button reloads the list.
- An account appears only once, even when signed in from several devices.
- The list is kept by the server and starts from scratch at each restart. If Portail ZAPP runs on several servers, each one only shows its own sessions.
- A session closed without signing out (browser closed, session expired) stays listed: rely on Last activity.
- The screen cannot sign an account out.
